About Lily
Lily Kika Smith is a 28-year-old French-American soprano. Born in Paris, France, she later moved to the United States and now resides in Boston, Massachusetts.
Recent highlights include performing as a soloist with the Burbank Philharmonic in Los Angeles and being awarded Third Prize in the Heafner-Williams Vocal Competition in 2026. In 2025, she was a finalist in the Mildred Miller International Competition, won the North Dakota District of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition, performed with Sewanee OperaFest as Juliette in Roméo et Juliette (“Amour ranime mon courage”) and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte(“Prenderò”), and presented solo recitals in Boston (MA), Dakar (Senegal), Durham (NC), Charlottesville (VA), and Paris (France).
Notable operatic roles include Svetlana in the world premiere of All The Truths We Cannot See in Helsinki, Laetitia in The Old Maid and the Thief, Cendrillon in Massenet's Cendrillon, and Madam Mathilde in On Gold Mountain.
In addition to her stage career, Lily creates curated live music experiences for private and philanthropic events, fundraisers, and intimate gatherings. Drawing on her recital experience and operatic training, she offers performances ranging from short, immersive “Opera Moments” to intimate salon-style evenings, designed to connect with audiences, elevate events, and leave lasting impressions.
Whether on a grand stage or in a private, intimate setting, Lily combines technical skill, expressive artistry, and thoughtful programming to create unforgettable musical experiences.
